Will Young To Play Bestival Band Stand

News has just reached us that the original and best Pop Idol Will Young, will be bringing some pop panache to proceedings and playing a special acoustic set on the tiny Bestival Bandstand.
Pop fans will know that young Will is the record holder for the fastest selling debut single in UK chart history.
His silky tones have propelled him to international stardom and his Bestival appearance is a rare chance to catch him in intimate surrounds.
Not only that, but we hear that he’s also a massive Bestival fan having been to the last three.
Bestival organisers are “absolutely thrilled”…

It’s wasn’t the most exciting news for us … but as you say, there’s no accounting for taste.
We may both be wrong of course, and he may be the best set of the weekend!

I think you’ll find Will Young has moved on considerably. Give him a chance - I think you’ll be surprised at how good he is live.

He’s very underrated I believe, but has a
quite unique silky, souly voice - and apart
from that he makes the most fabulous videos!

Well, the kids love him and Bestival up ’til last year has been family friendly so no complaints from me.

My top Bestival memories are of acts I had no idea I’d like till I saw them. I bet Will Young will fit right in. He’s got a great voice. Looking forward to it.

That You Tube vid is six years out of date! Will is now a very accomplished live singer and song writer.He performs at a “sold out” Ronnie Scotts this weekend where he will again bring that soulsy, jazzy vibe to all his music. See him also at Glastonbury ! He is definitely not “just for the kids” !

Will is great! I like his calm and relaxing voice, he just has this tiny thing in his voice that makes me relax when I hear it.. Young or old, there are a lot of people who like him and I’m one of them!
