Wight Balance Photography Exhibition: Tina Nicholls (podcast)

Thursday, 10th July, 2008 at 10:18 pm, Isle of Wight

Tina NichollsAs we reported at the end of last week, photography group, Wight Balance Photography Plus currently have an exhibition on display upstairs at Ryde Library.

The collection has been pulled together by group member Tina Nicholls and features a diverse collection of 41 images from 15-20 of the club members.

It’s a fantastic collection and has been dedicated to the memory of John Lobb, who was a founding member of the group.

At only aged 46, John died very suddenly in March this year and there is a very poignant image of John taken by Tina, his long term partner which starts the exhibition.

You can go along and view the images during Library opening hours until the end of July. We’d recommend it as well worth the visit.

We caught up with Tina after doing a tour of the exhibition …

Btw, the photo of Tina was taken in the bus stop outside the library. In what seems like guerrilla tactics by an interior designer, there are couple of boards with this very funky wallpaper attached to the bus shelter.

Let’s hope Southern Vectis don’t take them down. They look brilliant and make a great backdrop for portraits. Perhaps they could be extended across the Wight?
