This Sunday sees Walk the Wight, the annual sponsored walk aimed to raise much needed funds for the Island’s only hospice, The Earl Mountbatten Hospice.
Last year, our youngest VentnorBlogger, Alpha, braved the rain and wind and walked the last four miles as part of the school section of the walk.
The bad weather hasn’t put her off though. She’s taken up the gauntlet again this year and will be walking this Sunday from Freshwater Bay to Alum Bay - a total of four miles.
She’d obviously like to raise as much cash as she can for the hospice, so we hope that you will visit her fundraising page and contribute, no matter how small, whatever you can - it’s for a good cause.

We’ll be walking the end section with our son and the contingent from Brighstone Primary, so see you there I expect! Hoping for nicer weather this year.
