Visitors Love Ventnor’s Musical Youth

Friday, 27th July, 2007 at 5:03 pm, Isle of Wight

Reading through the letters page of the County Press this afternoon, it was lovely to see a letter of praise for Ventnor and it’s musical youth.

Ventnor Seafront By Abi MacRobertIt comes from a lady who visited the Island with her mother and made the effort to get down to Ventnor. It quickly became the highlight of their trip.

She explains that they were rewarded, when they came across three youngsters who had formed a band and were playing on the seafront.

The writer goes on to say how lovely it was to see the kids filled with so much passion for their music. The closing statement in her letter was ….

“Well done Ventnor for dispelling the myth that children spend all day playing computer games, etc, we look forward to our return visit and will hopefully be entertained again”.

What a great experience for our visitors, does anyone know who it was playing on the seafront? Get in touch and let us know if you do.

If it was lead by a girl on a sax, then I’d bet it was Amy Morris and friends. If I am right Sal, then you do know her from the original set up team for Together. Not sure what her band is called, but she has a MySpace site or did?

I might be wrong, in which apologies to Amy!
