Ventnor on The Up Say The Telegraph
Thursday, 10th July, 2008 at 11:28 am, Isle of Wight
We’re not regular Telegraph readers, so missed a piece in last weekend’s travel supplement that featured Ventnor. So thanks to Geoff for sending through the link yesterday.
The article features seaside resorts that “have recently discovered a new lease of life.”
It’s great to see Ventnor featured, it’s always good to get publicity, especially in the nationals, but as forum member interloper pointed out, it would’ve been great if they’d have used a more up to date photo of our beautiful town.
The one used in the online version predates the new Metropole building going up (not a bad thing in our eyes - that’s the predating, rather than the new build), but also has the old Rex cinema still standing and the Amanti Villa on the seafront, hadn’t seen a drop of the orange paint yet.
Perhaps the Telegraph will check the VentnorBlog Flickr pool for more recent pics of Ventnor next time?
