Tree Climbing Classes - How Cool Is That?
Thursday, 24th November, 2005 at 2:34 pm, Isle of Wight
Don’t you just hate it when out for a walk in the country, one of your mates spots a huge great tree, bounds off full steam ahead, clambers up the trunk and swings from branch to branch as though it’s something very natural that we should all be able to do?
You’re just left at the bottom, wondering whether you should join in the fun, but worrying that your attempt will end up looking very Bridget Jones?
Well Christmas has come early for me this year (or will do if I’m lucky), for an island based team of arborists (that’s tree experts to you and I) have set up a Tree Climbing School (GoodLeaf).
The courses run for two and a half hours and you get to climb ancient trees on private land under the supervision of experts.
Oh yes, and afterwards you get to wind down with their delicious homemade refreshments.
If you’re worrying about safety (pah!) don’t, they have full Health and Safety measures in place as well as Public Liability Insurance up to £5 million - just in case
Check out their Website for more info.
