Joanna Burton continues to paint and study the intimate subject of interiors within Stately Homes, Palaces, places of Worship and modest dwellings.
She works in mixed-media. Anything from traditional charcoal, pastel, and acrylic paint through to gold leaf, plaster, glass and re-claimed objects.
Feelings of nostalgia resonate through her work, and memories of opulent but neglected interiors suggest to a former existence.
This exhibition presents a detailed exploration of true eccentricity and graciousness through a memorable selection of paintings
