Ventnor Film Society presents The Story Of The Weeping Camel (certificate U, 87 mins) at the Botanic Gardens Visitors’ Centre.
Intriguing drama-documentary with a beautifully light touch, which lovingly observes the fascinating lives of a family of nomadic shepherds in the Mongolian Gobi desert. When a camel rejects her newborn colt, the nomads send their two young boys on a journey through the desert, to search for a musician who is their only hope for saving the little camel’s life.
Film starts at 7.30pm and you can get drinks in the Cricket Club next door before and afterwards.
Minibus services runs between town and the Botanic Gardens.
Entry £4, £2.50 concessions.
P.S. You might be interested to see the very strange use of multi-layer graphics on the official film Website
