The Specials To Play Bestival?
Monday, 1st September, 2008 at 5:34 pm, Isle of Wight
With a huge question mark hanging over the likelihood of Amy Winehouse headlining at Bestival this Saturday night - after failing to turn up at the Rock En Seine Festival in Paris this weekend - Rob Da Bank has assured Bestival goers that he has a great fall back band shoved up his sleeve.
Terry Hall was interviewed by BBC Radio London back earlier in the year and confirmed that the band were reforming to play a UK festival in September 2008.
Step forward Bestival?
Bestival goers in 2007 will remember that Terry Hall and Lynval Golding accompanied the Dub Pistols on stage last year, to an adoring crowd, so we wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if they fancied another bit of Bestival action.
Whether they fill the Main Stage surprise act slot at 6.30pm or the Winehouse slot at 10.30pm, we know where we’ll be. Right down the front doing the dog!
Thanks to Annie for the heads up on the rumour that The Specials might be filling the ’surprise’ slot.
