The Progression Sessions

Tuesday, 14th August, 2007 at 11:30 am, Isle of Wight

It might be the end of The Development Suite at The Liquid Lounge, but the promoters have their fingers in many pies. They pulled off something potentially bigger and better for Island bands and punters alike.

The ChancersThe Progression Sessions will run every Thursday from 23rd August to end of October and will only cost you £2 (advance) to get in (£5 on the door) at Ryde Theatre.

Gracing the stage for the first gig, fresh from their outing with The New Mastersounds (on the 18th) will be The Chancers.

Winners of the Rizla podcast competition for Bestival last year, these lads played some excellent gigs over the last year. They are definitely worth catching and someone to keep your eye on. After a two day stint in a Ventnor recording studio recently, we look forward to hearing some new material soon.

Joining them on the night will be another band well known to our readers, Cooly Haste. Fronted by battle rap champion, Cooly Haste with musical support by the Max Brennan, Randy Bones and Rob Mewtant, these lads are pretty busy over the coming months. If you miss them on the 23rd, catch them at White Air or Bestival.

The interesting angle on these gigs is that both acts will be interviewed and their tracks and the interviews played on Isle of Wight Radio 107fm on Sunday nights.

It’s part of the ‘Live & Local’ programme which airs between 7pm & 10pm. We’ll be bringing you the details of the line up each week until end of October, here on the Blog.

Music, Outta Town, Ryde
