The Kurves Play(ed) Camp Hill (podcasts)
Tuesday, 7th October, 2008 at 12:28 pm, Isle of Wight
Regular readers might remember that earlier in year Island band, The Kurves played a charity gig to prisoners at Camp Hill Prison.
Jamie Fineran, lead singer in The Kurves, who also works at the prison approached, ‘the guvner’ Ian Young to ask whether his band could put on the charity gig, raising cash for the Hospice whilst bringing something from the outside world to the prisoners.
Ian who had only been there since February 2007 thought it was a great idea and Colin Craven, Head of Learning Skills co-ordinated the event which went down a storm.
It’s been a busy year for The Kurves since that gig, with the band making it to the finals of the Bestival Band Competition amongst other things.
We caught up with Ian, Colin and Jamie after the gig at Camp Hill.
