Swim To Bestival: Nick Rowntree
Thursday, 30th August, 2007 at 11:33 am, Isle of Wight
On Friday morning next week, twelve brave souls will preparing themselves for a charity swim across the Solent.
Rather than catch the ferry to come to Bestival, these incredible people will be facing up to the challenge, in order to raise much needed cash for two very worthy charities. Today take a look at Nick Rowntree. He’s a forty years old and normally spends his days repairing bicycles.
When asked why he wanted to take part his response was a little patchy.
“Today I am swimming because….no it’s gone!”
Good luck to all the swimmers. We’ll be there to cheer you on Island side. Don’t forget you can donate online.
