Swim To Bestival: Kate SpicerAnother day and another profile of one of the twelve nutters planning to swim across the Solent on Friday morning.

Kate Spicer is a freelance journalist who loves swimming in warm clear water, such as can be found in Ibiza.

In fact, she’d just returned from a holiday in Ibiza when she decided to take up the gauntlet and Swim to Bestival.

She says, “You can make your own mind up about how I feel about swimming the Solent - put it this way, it’s going to be a crafty bit of summer management that gets this vessel ship shape for this terrifying but exciting end to summer.”
