Shoom Records Launch Party

Thursday, 10th May, 2007 at 10:38 am, Isle of Wight

18, May 2007 8:00 pmto19, May 2007 2:00 am

VENUE CHANGE: This event will now be held at The Cellar, Union Street, Ryde - NOT Lake Working Mans Club.

You seen the Shoom nights promo’d here and you may have been along a few yourself. Well now, those busy bees at Shoom are about to launch Shoom Records.

Over the past few weeks they’ve been working hard putting together a compilation of electronic and dance music from the Island.

Shoom Record Launch PartyIt features work by Max Brennan, Drut, George Cross, Louis Soteriou, B3nx0r, LoveGunn, My Friend Jared, Monkey Harris, Skinnyboy, Punchface, I Led Witches, Vypa, Credreq, Links 2 Eternity, Sam Hailstone and a few others.

As of 18th May you’ll be able to get your copy from Switch 45 in Scarotts Lane, HMV in Newport, Match My Foot Records and possibly Revolver in Ryde, as well of course, at all the Shoom nights.

Anyway in celebration of this a top party launch has been organised for Friday 18th May 2007 8pm - 2am (+ afterparty for those in the know).

So who’s on the playing list you ask? Well, Ventnor’s very own gravity defying Vypa, lead guitarist with The Bees, revealing his house music alter ego.

Sharing the stage will be the MMF DJ’S, that’s those from Match My Foot Records and The Bees, DJ George Cross, b3Nx0r (always popular with the Shoom crowd) and DJ TS from Radio Soma.

It’ll be held at Shoom’s favourite venue, Lake Working Mens Club and will cost you £4 to get in, unless you head up there early (before 9pm) and it’ll be a quid less.
