RockPool: Review

Tuesday, 3rd June, 2008 at 3:09 pm, Isle of Wight

Rockpool – Multi-Media Arts Exhibition We weren’t able to get along to the recent RockPool event at the Ventnor Winter Gardens, but were pleased to see that fellow Blogger, WightEye did.

It seems that our friend in Cowes is a big fan of these kinds of events, so do pop over to his blog to hear what he has to say about the skate park fundraiser night.

We hear from the organisers that about 150 people attended over the course of the evening and they’d like to thank everyone who supported the event.

It’s a difficult balance for the Winter Gardens, because of course, they need to make money to survive, but when you have charity events with the aim of raising money for local community facilities, it’s a shame that they aren’t able to subsidise the rental costs.

Thanks for the mention Sal, just wish there was a bit more in the way of cultural happenings in East Cowes!
