Richard Studt Recital: “A Truly Memorable Evening”
Tuesday, 6th May, 2008 at 12:41 pm, Isle of Wight
At the beginning of last week we announced the winner of our Richard Studt ticket competition.
Unfortunately, the named winners were unable to attend, so we popped our hands back inside the hat and pulled out the next correct answer. Although they would prefer to remain anonymous, the new prize winners were very happy to let us know about their experience.
Very many thanks for the opportunity given to us by the winning of the 2 tickets to attend Saturday evening’s Ventnor Recital at the lovely St. Catherine’s Church featuring Richard Studt and Friends.
We had a truly memorable evening. The programme was varied and enabled all three musicians, Richard Studt (violin), Michael Thompson (horn) and Tim Carey (piano) to demonstrate their virtuosities.
The atmosphere in the church was one of warmth and good humour with a delicious finger buffet served during the interval. Many local businesses supported the event by donating raffle prizes.
We both really enjoyed the whole event, it was quite a revelation that such things can happen in Ventnor!
I would strongly recommend others to support any future events presented in the future by the Ventnor Piano Fund team as they certainly know how to ‘put on a really good show’.
Thank-you again, the lucky winner of the tickets.
We’d also like to extend our congratulations to the organiser, Anthony Churchill and the musicians for what sounds like yet another excellent event in Ventnor.
