Richard Studt and Friends: The Ventnor Recital

In a week on Saturday three world class musicians will be making their way to Ventnor to perform a recital at St Catherine’s Church.
Leading the trio will be the Island’s most famous classical musician, Richard Studt. Raised in Ventnor, his has property on the seafront, his father owned The Gaiety and his mother still lives in the town, Richard started playing the violin at the age of four.
Richard will be joined by horn player Michael Thompson and pianist Tim Carey - we’ll be bringing you profiles of the three musicians later next week.
The objective of the recital is to raise money for the Ventnor Piano Fund we’ll be bringing you more details about the aims and objectives of the fund later in the week.
There are two concerts taking place on Saturday, the first a lunchtime recital at 1pm (almost all tickets are sold).
The second recital takes place in the evening at 7pm. For £30 you wil be rewarded with two hours of music with a finger buffet during he interval.
