Requestival @Joe’s

The Requestival team will be heading over to Joe’s this Thursday for a festival warm-up gig.

Requestival @Joe'sMany of you may already have your tents set up for the festival, but why not head back to Newport town centre to catch some of that special Requestival action at Joe’s?

It’s a free night to get into, but the donation boxes will be in place for the Peruvian charity that Requestival strive hard to help.

The next time Requestival are playing on the Wight won’t be until Xmas, as they start a 27 date tour of Europe and UK from 1 September.

We also hear that an hour long documentary special on Requestival in Peru will due to be shown on C4 at some point in November. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for that one.

Kicks off at 9pm and kicking out time is 1am. Go along and share the love.

Don’t worry - they will definitely be at festival - they’d forgotten that they’d promised to do this gig at Joe’s, hence the late notice for punters.

I couldn’t agree more with the comments above.Requestival are destined for greater things i’m sure.i have seen them live now a few times and gotta say they are just pure magic.Dj Shoddy(y is he called that by the way)is in a league of his own when he’s mixing never seen or heard anything like it i love him.i think its a shame that neither Festival on the Island has managed to book this class act(i dont think they are playing the IOW Festival).I also think the charity work they do is awesome.Wake up IOW and go and watch The Requestival Sound System believe me you wont be disappointed.Amber.xx

As an ex Island Pat now living in the Netherlands i regularly look at the Ventnor Blog(well done you lot)and i felt i must comment on The Requestival Sound System.Last year they came and played at The Bladel Festival, they were absolutely fantastic great music, great dj names and most of all great talent.I havent witnessed a crowd in a marquee losing themselves in the music for such a long time.My Wife and I were very proud to be Islanders that night. We actually got to speak to the Requestival Team after the show and what an amazing bunch of people so unassuming dedicated to what they do absolutely selfless. They are playing the Festival again this year and on the strength of that we have got our tickets already.Well done Requestival for spreading the word and if success does come your way then its greatly deserved.Peace and Love.Leonard and Miranda.x
