PJ Wright: Acoustics At The Altar

Following the success of the last Acoustics at The Altar, more gigs have been lined up over the coming months with the next taking place in March.

PJ Wright: Acoustics At The AltarPJ Wright is best known as guitarist and lead vocalist with Little Johnny England, slide and pedal steel guitarist with the Dylan Project, and long time sideman with R’n'B legend Steve Gibbons.

Feted as a guitar virtuoso, Wright is also a talented songwriter - compositions such as Johnny England and Forty Years On meld a poetic sensibility and an understanding of traditional song.

If you like to try before you buy, check out this vid on YouTube of PJ Wright performing with Dave Pegg at the Leek Arts Festival 2007 (PJ is on the left).

Tickets are £7.50 in advance or £8 on the door. All proceeds from the gig go to the Park Centre in Ryde.

Don’t think that just because the gig is in a church (St John’s Ryde) that you can’t enjoy a tipple. As usual, there will be a fully licensed bar open from 7pm.
