Pick Of The VentnorBlog Week
Monday, 3rd September, 2007 at 10:30 am, Isle of Wight
Last week was certainly a busy one, in fact, there was so much going on that I found it pretty hard to keep up.
Biggest news of the week was of course our Bestival tickets competition. Yes folks, your chance to win a pair of Bestival tickets worth over £200. All you have to do is design a new banner logo for VentnorBlog and email it to us by 5pm today.
The main event that dominated the week was, of course, White Air. Congratulations should go to Nigel Howell for yet another successful festival. This year lasting for seven days and the new outdoor music stage from Platform One creating a great festival vibe. The Bees graced the stage on Wednesday night and provided a superb show for everyone.
Those of you who know Simon, will know how much he loves talking to people, so it was no surprise that he managed to knock out a few podcasts from the event. Thanks also go out to national trampolining champion and Ventnor lad, Sam Snudden, who shared his experience of performing White Air with us all.
And how about the production of We Will Rock You? If you missed it, you missed out, what a spectacular performance, all praise to everyone involved. I can’t wait to hear what Jeanie and Chris Brown have planned for us next (mind you, I think they deserve a well earned rest first).
If you missed Leeroy T Mofo’s review of the first Progression Session, it’s well worth reading, whether you’re interested in the music or not.
And finally, one of our favourite Friday funnies. Given our dislike for the monopolistic supermarket giant, Tesco, we’re always keen to see someone having a pop at them.

By the way, if you fancy writing a VB pick of the week, send us your text by midday on Saturday - guest writers are always welcome on VentnorBlog.
