  1. Farmersboy Says:

Everyones moaning about the prices and saying they can’t afford it but the number of cars on the road doesn’t seem to decrease

  2. Bertie Says:

I did my bit to try to keep Leslies going, but while I used to spend £30 each time, they told me that it was quite common for someone to spend as little as £1 and then drive to Tesco Ryde to fill up.
I now use Sandford. Use it or………….

  3. Matthew Chatfield Says:

Distance to/from what, and in what units??

  4. watchdog Says:

Matthew is right to ask where the measurements are taken from. Assuming the units are miles, the best clue is 0.39miles from Fairlee Service Station, which suggests Coppins Bridge, and if you take the distance as the crow flies, then the distance to Northwood Garage is about right. But then 3.79 miles from Lushington Hill Garage either takes you to Carisbrooke as the crow flies, or up to St Mary’s roundabout along the road. I would say that whoever set down these supposed distances is probably innumerate.

  5. Sal Says:
Sorry, meant to take out the distance bit to avoid confusion.

Distance shown is from a PO38 postcode in Ventnor. You have to enter a starting point in order to get the listings through. I’m assuming the units are miles.

  6. James P Says:

If I may digress slightly onto the education reforms, I can see that whatever savings are made by closing schools (or amalgamating them, as Pughnoccio would have it) will be wiped out by the extra expense of all that diesel used to bus the primary school children about! Well done, chaps…
