Penhallow Hotel Fire: Islander Harry Hill Has Lucky Escape
Monday, 20th August, 2007 at 11:43 am, Isle of Wight
Islander, Harry Hill, had a lucky escape when a fire (the one all over the news) broke out at the hotel he’d booked into for his 50th birthday celebrations.
Harry checked into the Penhallow Hotel in Cornwall only a few hours before the blaze. He said to the Guardian,
“There were no flames where we were but as soon as we were out we could see the other fire escape was alight and there were two girls trying to make their way down it.”
There are still two people unaccounted for and investigators hope to gain access to the hotel today to start the search.
