On the Plank: Tim Johnson Exhibition Finishes Saturday

Tuesday, 30th October, 2007 at 8:56 pm, Isle of Wight

On the Plank: Tim Johnson Exhibition Finishes SaturdayThe next few days will be your last chance to catch the latest Tim Johnson exhibition at Quay Arts.

It’s been running since the end of September and has been an evolving exhibition with makers’ demos and workshop documentation being added as the exhibition unfolds.

There have been several Island schools involved and the brilliant East Weaves West exhibitor Tim Johnson has been coordinating it all.

If you haven’t caught it yet, expect to learn much from the exhibition about the process, tools and materials of the ancient craft of basketry.

You’ll find it upstairs in the Learning Curve Young People’s Gallery. Free entrance as usual.

Art, Newport

Hi folks - just to let you know that the magnificent work that the pupils of Medina High have been doing with myself and Chris Jenkins continues to change this week with another class led by Chris creating a huge drawn backdrop - details to be invented !

By the way the kids renamed the exhibition - it’s now called Tangled Wood.
