Manakin Play Friday Night

Don’t forget Manakin are playing this Friday at Quay Arts.
Manakin kick off the music season at Quay Arts on Friday 1 Feb at 8pm – fresh from their recent international tour, taking in South Africa and the Middle East.
As well as favourites from their past work, Manakin will showcase music from their new album prior to its formal launch in London on 20 February - the Island hears it first!
This London-based four piece is fronted by Bahraini born singer Shake. While Shake is the lyrical leader, the back bone of the band is made up of some of Britain’s finest musicians.
Between them they have played with Neneh Cherry, Akasha, The Bays, Afro Celt Sound System, The Dhol Foundation, Tom Middleton and many others but enough of all that. Manakin are in the truest sense a rock band and expect nothing less – this is a chance to catch them early, at a very reasonable price!
