Making Waves: Show Your Support
Friday, 14th March, 2008 at 1:09 pm, Isle of Wight
With the Making Waves season starting next month, here are a few reminders as to why everyone on the Wight should do their best to support these valuable events.
- Keeping The Venue alive despite lack of funding
- Increasing the cohesion of a stronger music scene
- Offering bands the simplest way of playing a great venue, getting recorded live if so desired, broadcast on the radio, album launches etc etc and basically just something to aim for that keeps music alive for your buds as well.
In the words of the organisers, please get on board and show the Isle of Wight Council that the place could be a strong drum banging the Island music ryhthm.
Increasing creativity, jobs, culture and tourism.
The session dates are filling up, so if you’re a band who still hasn’t confirmed your wishes with the organisers, do get in touch with them asap, so they can offer other bands the opportunity.
