You might remember back in June, that we told you about an Illustration Competition being organised by Quay Arts.

The theme of the competition is to create one illustration inspired by the book Tennyson’s Gift, written by acclaimed writer, Lynne Truss who will also be popping over to Quay Arts on Friday 30 November to judge the competition. Not to mention give a talk about her novel Tennyson’s Gift (details below).

But it’s not too late to take part in the competition, deadline for submissions isn’t until Wednesday 7th November.

All of the entrants will be exhibited at Quay Arts and the winner will have their work published as the front cover to the Quay Arts brochure and receive £100 of art material gift vouchers.

The novel, written in situ in Freshwater Bay, has been described as ‘the funniest novel ever written about a nineteenth century poet laureate’.
