Jennings Appeals To Planning Inspectorate

Wednesday, 16th April, 2008 at 2:10 pm, Isle of Wight

Jennings Appeals To Planning InspectorateAnyone with a keen interest in planning issues will’ve been following the saga of Michael Jennings and his ego eco-house in Undercliff Gardens.

It has been along running affair, with rejections, stop notices and a certain well loved developer apparently pushing on regardless.

You might remember that back in February, his application to retain work he had done beyond the planning permission (sound familiar?) was refused by the Isle of Wight Council Planning Committee.

He was ordered to demolish that which was built without permission.

Well, we hear that Mr Jennings has now appealed to the Planning Inspectorate (again!) to retain the building. As was stated in a letter to the IW Planning Department last year, the Jennings’ are keen to sell the house and leave the Ventnor and the Isle of Wight forever, so obviously wants to get this resolved soon.

Anyone who wishes to comment on the application to retain the building can do so on the Planning Inspectorate website and have until 1st May.

According to my sources, he is getting CLOSE to the end now.
Although he continues to add to the unapproved building, every piece of wood, stone, steel or slate that is added is being logged and sent to the Inspectorate.
It is expected that we are CLOSE to a dismissal and then demolition.
