Jazz Festival: Swing Era Big Band

Sunday night at the Isle of Wight International Jazz Festival sees the grand finale with a Big Band Swing Orchestra all-star line up.

Lianne CarrollLiane Carroll and Ian Shaw will be taking part in this specially commissioned performance with an 18 piece Big Swing Orchestra of major names led by Pete Long, director of Ronnie Scotts Big Band.

The Orchestra will be presenting all the great hits of the golden years of swing. Expect to hear from the libraries of Basie, Goodman, Shaw, Ellington, Barnet, Kenton and Miller.

Liane and Ian will also be mixing some of the great Ella Fitzgerald numbers along with soulful recollections from the swinging repertoire of Ray Charles.

Tickets are priced at £25 and the gig takes place at the Winter Gardens with a 400 seat capacity.
