Monday, 9th October, 2006 at 12:11 pm, Isle of Wight

In case you haven’t heard, there is a new cultural magazine on the Isle of Wight, called Jam on Toast.

Jam On Toast: IW Culture MagazineThe magazine is produced in association with the Arts Unit and Neighbourhood Learning and provides a vehicle for local writers and artists to publish their work.

The first issue features interviews with Rob Da Bank and James Trevitt, poetry and illustrations by local artist Tania Dixcey and some great shots by Kendall Noctor of the Parkour boys on Ventnor beach.

The editorial team are looking for more participants for the next issue, so if you’re aged between 19-40 get in touch with them.

The magazine is available in shops around Ventnor and the Island and will only cost you a quid.

[…] It seems that a group of young lads (well young compared to me), Sam Snudden, Lawrie Noctor, and Ben Summers have got a real spring in their steps. You might’ve seen some photos of them in the first issue of the Jam On Toast magazine last year. Unfortunately, one thing that printed matter can’t do, is really show you what these lads are capable of. […]

I wonder…who took those pictures of the free runner in the first issue of jot?

Fear not Kendal, I am sure it was an oversight on JOTs part, but you DID get a credit on VentnorBlog.

After seeing the Jazz Festival Programme, it appears that it is not uncommon for photos to be used without credit to the photographer.

    Different standards I guess!
