IWEP Touchdown Lounge Launch: Helen Snashall, IW Volunteer Centre (podcast)

Last week we were invited along to the launch of the Touchdown Lounge at the Innovation Centre in Newport.
During our tour of the building we came across a promotional stand for Isle of Wight Volunteer Centre and stopped to have a chat with Helen Snashall.
The organisation are keen to promote volunteering in the community, pointing out that the involvement could be from as little as helping out with a beach clean to other things that might demand more commitment for those with more time.
There is also a great opportunity to pick up new skills by being involved in website design or environmental projects to name just two.
