IW Festival 09: The Big Festival Bike Ride

The Isle of Wight Festival’s Eco Action team have teamed up with the London Bicycle Tour Company this year to give festival goers a chance explore a bit more of the Island than just Seaclose Park.

You can hire a bike to take off on your own (times and details below) or join in with The Big Festival Bike Ride which is taking place on Saturday and Sunday mornings leaving at 10am, from the London Tour Company hire point in the campsite.

This guided tour heads to south east to Merstone stopping off on the way at sites of environmental importance where charity partners Gift to Nature will tell more.

For just £10 plus hire fee the Bike Ride sounds like a great way for non-Islanders to see the Island and as it only lasts two hours there’s plenty of time for you to get back to the Festival to catch the first bands of the day.

Details
Bike hire opening times are Thursday 2pm-7pm; then every morning from 7am-1pm. It is £5 for an hour; £8 for 2 hours; and £10 for 3 hours.

Payment for bike hire is by credit or debit card only.

London Bicycle Tour Company will be located in the Campsite.
