The Progression Session this week brings you Bestival Island Band Competition Winners, Hugo Frusslinky.
They opened Bestival 2007 and will most definitely have picked up a few more fans along the way, especially since they were described by the NME as the best band out of the Isle of Wight since The Bees.
If you want to see them live, and they are definitely worth the journey, head over to Ryde Theatre on Thursday night. Book your ticket in advance and it’ll only cost you £2 (otherwise it’s a fiver on the door).
As usual, the band will be interviewed by IW Radio for the ‘Local and Live’ Show which goes out on Sunday night between 7-10pm (102/7fm).
Also on stage on Thursday night will be another local band, Blank Beats.
The three band members seem to have many aka’s, but I’m sure they don’t really have personally complexes. On stage, serving up their own brand of hip hop will be IAM8 aka MC N8TH THE 8TH aka PROFESSOR SN8Le aka HOLYGHOLTI, AARON ISLAMB aka FATTY FLX aka FLETCH and DJ HOT1 aka THE RGA aka 7ZARK7.
They’ll also be interviewed and some of their tracks played on IW Radio on Sunday night.
Action kicks off at 8pm, The Venue, Ryde Theatre.
