Happy Feet

We were gutted to miss the last Happy Feet event, but hear that it went extremely well. Around 150 people showed up to cut some shapes and everyone had a good time.
The Motion Pictures had the time of their lives spinning their favourite tunes and were ably supported by Ventnor’s very own Dre and Raff. Puzzle Muteson warmed cellar hearts with a beautiful set, unfortunately marred by sound problems, but to his credit he stuck at it when most people would have had a “turn”.
So when’s the next one you’re wondering … well next week is the answer … and Jez has bumper line up for us.
Hip hop giants Ugly Duckling and Giant Panda (posing by the palm trees below) will be on the island as part of their UK tour and will be supported by Newport’s futuristic messenger Cooly Haste with Ventnor kings of the cut Blank Beats!
Expect DJ sets from the islands top hip hop DJs including Mewtant, Hot One and Wills O Steel … this
promises to be a groundbreaking evening in the north east!
This ticket only event (that means no tickets on the door) takes place on Tuesday 9th May in Yelfs cellar in Union Street, Ryde.
Tickets are eight quid, available from Revolver skate shop in Ryde High Street and the fun spans from 8pm - 2am.
If you can’t get up to Ryde to buy your tickets in advance, then get in touch with us here and we’ll help sort you out, there are plenty knocking around in Ventnor.
