Folk and Blues Festival Debts: On BBC News

It appears that the You and Yours programme which aired on BBC R4 on Friday has been picked up by BBC News.
Today they are running a piece about how Fairport Convention still remain to be paid £5,000 for their sell out gig at the Isle of Wight Folk and Blues Festival last year.
The BBC article states
Payment promise
Geri Ward, who organises the Folk and Blues festival and the Isle of Wight International Jazz Festival, says performers will get their appearance fees.
That’s not quite how we heard it.
After being asked several times, Geri did not categorically say “Yes, they will get paid” she simply said “People are getting paid”.
They mean quite different things, but we hope for everyone’s sake, that she intended them to have the same meaning.
