Flickr Group Focus: Mini Ventnor

If you find yourself with 10 minutes free, grab a cup of tea, put your feet up and treat yourself to a slide show of images from the VentnorBlog Flickr Group.
The group of contributors has been steadily growing and we have some excellent shots of Ventnor and surrounding areas up there.
I’ve been particularly drawn towards those by Davevent who has recently been experimenting with some of the cooler Photoshop filters.
His use of ’tilt and shift’ have resulted in some bizarrely spooky renditions of Ventnor - making it look remarkedbly like a model village. Check out his site for other shots and special effects. The hdr treatment on the cascade makes it look like a postcard from long ago.
I’m also keen on the moody esplanade shot, but what a shame the Metropole is blocking the view of the terraces. Who knows what it’ll look like in a years time if the Mill Bay development gets planning permission at it’s current height.
