David Holmes Incorrectly Insults Joe Duckworth

We already know about the revolting views of Alex Dyke (have you noticed his pathetic attempt to draw back from the end of his career by playing only Black music now?).
David Holmes, the failed MP candidate from 2001 wannabe (getting 1,423 votes vs 25,223 for the winner), who does the morning programme with Alex Dyke, has launched an attack on the Council Chief Executive, Joe Duckworth.
Holmes started it with, “Joe Duckworth drives around the Island in a 4×4. Why does such a small man need such a big car?”
He then went on with “He’s greedy little piggy with his nose in the trough. He is paid £150k a year - why are we paying his hotel bills?”
Typical for those two buffoons, they haven’t got their facts straight.
As readers of VB will know, Joe Duckworth has a house in Ventnor. Last year, Joe told us that he gets around the Island on scooter. We’ve even had reports that he’s been taking the bus to Newport instead.
Dyke followed the comments up with a record, “He’s just an Ordinary Joe.” How very clever he (thinks he) is.

The Doc/Dick didn’t even have the good manners to apologise for getting it wrong, after it was made clear that Duckworth hadn’t had hotel rooms paid for.

I have seen him on the 7.26 bus out of Ventnor in the morning to Newport.
Alex Dyke recently latched onto the phrase “oxygen thief” to describe someone he did not like. I think the phrase applies ideally to Alex himself.

Really Mark. I would love to meet him. This is the chap who publicly gives license to racist behavior on the island, by making it OK on the radio. My children have been the victims .

Think Mark was referring to Joe Duckworth catching the bus from Ventnor - Alex claims to have not been here for several years.

I do not listen to IOW radio because of Alex Dyke.
He is arrogant rude and has always been so even as a teenager.

Last year I ran a survey on the Doctor Dyke Phone-in. Mine is a sad life. During the survey period (2 weeks) the same 17 callers phoned in again and again and that was it. I had the impression that they were employed by IW Radio to ensure some minimum level of debate almost as if the whole programme was scripted. I haven’t listened since and feel much better for it.

Ego Joe has more than one 4×4 but only one is paid for by us tax payers. Doc and Dyke are right for a change .
