Pure, a drink/drugs free dance night for under 18s, is coming to Ventnor tonight!

Doors at open at 6:45 and the music will run from 7:30 till 10pm.

DJs playing include: DJs Weste and DJ Freeston, DJ Matt Austin, DJ Degreezz, and headlining the night MC Liam.

If you managed to get your tickets early from school then you’ll have saved yourself an extra pound, but the price on the door is £4, so you might have to bring some extra money, especially if you don’t live in the Ventnor area and need money for bus fare (remember, Student Rider tickets are now £1 each way).

Southern Vectis support the event and extra buses have been issued along the route of the number 6 for those living in Whitwell, Niton, Chale and Chillerton (10:15pm from Ventnor to Newport).

Security on the night will be strict with male and female security persons searching people for drugs and alcohol.

There will be a bar inside the hall where soft drinks and other non-alcoholic drinks will be available from.

This is the second Pure event held at the Ventnor Winter Gardens, and organisers hope this will be as successful as the last, where 200-300 people attended.

The Ventnor Rotary Club will be marshaling the event to make sure there’s no trouble.

Pure events are run by the Isle of Wight Council’s Safer Neighbourhoods Partnership and are supported by the Police, Connexions, The Youth Service, Town Councils and other partner agencies.
