Arriving on the Island via the Edinburgh and Toronto Fringe Festivals this fabulous farce by a promising Isle of Wight playwright, Charlotte Barton-Hoare, has been hailed as ‘insanity at its best’ and was winner of the Sheila Kerlogue Memorial Cup for Best Script in 2005.

Creena De FoouieCreena, a counsellor and homicidal maniac, is best described as a cross between a character out of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Cruella de Ville, complete with terrifying make-up and knee-length leather boots. She is out to avenge her sister’s death, killing off patients along the way – think The League of Gentlemen meets Ab Fab!

On my way into work this morning I was puzzled to see a car stop on Ryde Pier Head and a positively anorexic performer get out to pose with two equally stunning fans to advertise the show.

I realise that I’m a year too late for this page but is it being performed locally again ?

You’ll have to ask her. She is/was a teacher at Sandown High.
It was very good though. Very offbeat.
