Cowes Week: Music On The Parade

Wednesday, 23rd July, 2008 at 7:08 am, Isle of Wight

Derek SandyIf you missed Jimmy’s Big Fish at the FONStival last weekend, there’s another chance to catch the action during Skandia Cowes Week.

Jimmy’s Big Fish, Los Fantasmus, Derek Sandy (pictured) and Skybus are just some of the musicians who’ll be entertaining during the week long sailing event starting in a couple of weeks time.

There’ll be all sorts of weird and wonderful street entertainment including The Balloonatic, Jason Maverick and a dynamic group of dancers who will be bringing a colourful carnival vibe to Cowes Parade.

The music kicks off at noon everyday and carries on til 10pm daily - whilst the street entertainers will be doing their stuff between 1pm and 4pm each day.

Looking forward to a great week of entertainment at Cowes. If you like Blues/R&B, The Amen Boogie Blues Band will be bluesin’ it up at The Parade on Sunday 3rd August, 12-2pm.
