Conjunction: Eccentrics and Radicals: Liz Jones

Liz Jones brings her recent body of work to the Rope Store.
Through painting installation Liz explores personal and social worlds overlapping. Political and social themes interlace the work and tempt the viewer to question.
In this exhibition the artist fiddles, plays and catches on to things. Tools, seeds and threads, vicars eating chips, are all visual ideas crafted for communication.
The exploration of ideas, the process of making work, with so many attractions and distractions, news and views, becomes the purpose, rather than the finished piece.
Liz Jones is a painter living and working in Southampton. Her work has previously explored large scale urban murals, installation and mixed media, she has exhibited widely and was recently a 2007 exhibitor at Art Vaults, Southampton.
