Success For Bees Beach Soccer Team in Bournemouth

Aug 05, 2008 in Beach Soccer, Overseas, Ventnor

The Bees win the UK National Super League in a blustery and stormy day at Bournemouth.

Success For Bees Beach Soccer Team in BournemouthThe conditions weren’t ideal, we missed a few chances and were a bit complacent at the back but we did play some good beach soccer and in the end two good victories sealed the National Super League title with one event remaining before the UK Superfinal.

It was a shame Sociedad didn’t turn up, but being at the bottom of the league and having to travel to Bournemouth to face the Bees must have been a bit daunting.

Jul 04, 2008 in Beach Soccer, Ryde

Ryde Beach Soccer PostponedIf you were planning to catch the beach soccer game while you were attending the Ryde Arts Festival, sadly you’re going to have to find your sandy balls action elsewhere, as the soccer tournament has been cancelled due to concerns about the wind potentially lifting marquees, the inflatable pitch and TV towers.

It’s going to be re-organised and we’ll let you know when we hear more.

Thanks to Matt for the news.

Beach Soccer On Saturday

Jul 03, 2007 in Beach Soccer, Ryde

There are tons of things going on in Ryde over the next week as part of the Ryde Festival and we’ll be bringing you more info on the Blog over the next few days.

Beach Soccer On SaturdayOne event that made my ears prick up, is the beach soccer game between the England squad and the Council’s Fostering Service.

They must be brave souls to take on one of the greatest beach soccer teams in the world, for the England team recently beat former European champions Hungary 5 - 1 in the Euro Beach Soccer League held in Greece (I’m keeping schtum about the match with Poland)

The game forms part of a sponsorship deal agreed with the Fostering Service and England Beach Soccer earlier in the spring.
