Casati House Licensing Decision Due Soon

We notice that the Licensing Sub Committee will be meeting on 11 August to determine whether or not to award the new Members Only Club, Casati House, an extended alcohol license.
The application has raised objections from some local residents, who are understandably concerned by the risk of public nuisance and increased noise levels late at night when members are leaving the club.
If our experience of Members Only Clubs is anything to go by, this tends to remain inside the premises and patrons normally take care to respect neighbouring residents.
If Casati House do as good a job, as somewhere like Soho House, then it could be an additional draw to the Island, and another feather in the tourism cap (not Vera’s thinking cap).
