If you want to see how many beautiful, quirky and innovative ways there are to decorate a Christmas tree, pop along to the Brighstone Christmas Tree Festival this week from Thursday onwards (10am-5pm).

Brighstone Christmas Tree FestivalMore than a hundred trees decorated by schools, organisations and individuals are on show at four venues: St Mary’s Church, Wilberforce Hall and the Methodist Church all in Brighstone; plus Mottistone Church.

The event is free, with donations going to charity.

It’s a gorgeous spectacle.

And if you’re in the village on Saturday, call in at Brighstone Primary School’s Christmas Fair (New Road) from 2-4pm where there’ll be traditional craft stalls, refreshments, a raffle, and lots for the kids: santa’s grotto, toys, games, fancy dress and face painting.

Everyone’s welcome.
