If you enjoy sax (no, that’s not a typo), then you should make plans to head over to Quay Arts in Newport on Friday evening to watch Brass Jaw perform in the Jazz Café.
This saxophone quartet perform a vast variety of styles within its own compositions and arrangements.
Following its very successful 2005 UK tour, Brass Jaw released its critically acclaimed debut album, Burn, which has received excellent reviews.
They above all perform with real pleasure and great passion and have been described by The Guardian as ‘Altogether, an accomplished and ambitious ensemble who aren’t afraid to enjoy themselves.’
Making up the quartet are Martin Kershaw on Alto Sax, Konrad Wiszniewski on Tenor Sax, Allon Beauvoisin on Baritone Sax and Paul Towndrow on Alto Sax.
