We’re hugely excited that the rap pioneers, The Sugarhill Gang, will be playing an UK festival exclusive at Bestival this year.
Soak up some original 1979 video footage after the jumpMany view them as the original hip-hop act (although there is some disagreement about this, natch). They certainly brought it to the masses with their Rapper’s Delight, which took over the world in 1979, becoming a multi-platinum selling track.
