Talk about diversity. One week it’s Jimmy Pursey at the Winter Gardens, the next there’res a a mass of barbershop choirs.
David Edwards, the bookings manager at the Ventnor Winter Gardens tells us that way back in 1978, there was a Barbershop Chorus Festival here.
To mark the 30th Anniversary in a couple of weeks time, they’ll be welcoming the Barbershop Chorus Anniversary Show featuring Solent City Chorus, Island Edition Quartet, TVQ Quartet, Wight Satin, Wight Harmony Barbershop Singers and Southampton Barbershop Youth Chorus & Quay Note Youth Quartet.
Tickets are available now for £10 and £7.50 concessions and all profits are going to the Earl Mountbatten Hospice
