Save Ventnor Skate Park

Are there any skating dogs in Ventnor?

Monday, 27th March, 2006 at 12:01 am, Isle of Wight

Simon came across this bonkers video when he was doing some research on myspace… a skateboarding dog.

You have to watch it … it’s totally nuts. See how said hound manages to gather speed, steer the board, and still smile at the camera as he passes (excuse the general assumption that the dog is male). An absolutely classic piece of user generated content.

Then it struck me that … we have lots of dogs in Ventnor … and lots of skaters … so if anyone has a skating dog, let us know (ventnorblog at gmail dot com). It has to be seen in person.

It would make a great competition for Ventnor Festival Day July 22nd, and totally in keeping with the identity of the Town. We could run the competition alongside the skate park which will have space alongside the Festival Zone.

Let me know if anyone is interested, we will build it into the programme for the day!

Who out there can run a judging event for this ???

[…] Back in March, I stuck up a video of a skateboarding dog, asking for anyone to come forward if they knew of similarly talented canines in Ventnor. […]
