Alex Dyke Phone In: Ventnor Regeneration Being Debated Tuesday

Monday, 24th September, 2007 at 2:27 pm, Isle of Wight

Alex Dyke Phone In: Ventnor Regeneration Being Debated TuesdayPrompted by a call from a lady named Barbara today, who rang in to let the listeners of IW Radio know that a peaceful demo took place outside the Mill Bay pub this morning, Alex Dyke has declared that he will dedicate the phone-in tomorrow to the subject of the regeneration of Ventnor.

Meg Mortimer will be in the radio studio during the phone-in.

Alex believe that we should all be patting the backs of the developers, not objecting to them wanting to develop our town.

I don’t believe that any of the objectors have a problem with development of Ventnor, it’s just the extent to which it’s proposed. Five storeys is too high and as mentioned in the previous podcast, may put people off returning to the town in future years.

If you wish to express your views on the proposal to develop another five storey building in the seafront Conservation area, give Alex a call on 822002 between noon and 1pm tomorrow (Tuesday).

Is getting Alex involved a good or bad move

  2. Freddie Says:

He’ll have probably forgotten by then. He usually does.
If he remembers, be aware that you will be made to look foolish should you phone.

  3. Sal Says:

Nice try Freddie, but don’t think that comment will put people off speaking their minds - surely the show of bodies down at the mill bay yesterday was a clear sign that people are not afraid to stand up and be counted.

What's your view?
