Alex Dyke: I’m Here To Stay, Get Used To It

Tuesday, 1st April, 2008 at 10:08 am, Isle of Wight

Alex Dyke: I'm Here To StayIW Radio Disc Jockey Alex ‘Big Al’ Dyke was keen to quash rumours this morning, that he is leaving IW Radio for a rival station.

Speaking to media sources on the Wight he spouted:

It’s just not true, I’ve been ruling the Isle of Wight airwaves for seventeen years now and I’m here to stay.

Just because I’ve had a bit of time off recently, doesn’t mean that I’ve been leaving the Island for interviews.

The people spreading these rumours are just jealous of my manly good looks and natural charisma!

We’re so glad to hear that he’ll be staying afterall - he does such a wonderful job of promoting the great values of the Island across the airwaves.

However, as he turned to leave the room, Big Al was heard muttering under his breath

Besides, no-one else would have me!

PS. As much as some people might like to think this article is true, you’ll see it was published before noon on 1st April 2008 by author, April F. Ool. Hence it is NOT true.

Clearly, his misplaced arrogance has not diminished.

I feel that it could be argued that his attitude would not be agreeable to a great many stations. However, with the noticeable decline in standards throughout the media circus, I could be wrong.
