Ventnor Film Society presents A Fond Kiss (directed by Ken Loach) at the Botanic Gardens Visitors’ Centre on 15 November 2005.
Casim is a second generation Pakistani from Glasgow, working as a DJ, whose devout Muslim parents plan his marriage to his beautiful second cousin. Then he meets Roisin, a teacher at his sister’s school. Ken Loach brings his usual sense of compassion and humanity to this story of young lovers from very different backgrounds with unshakeable belief systems.
